Ag Use Protection Policy/Rule

CBNGA has been actively involved since the triennial review started for this important Policy/Rule in 2005. This Policy/Rule has been back-and-forth between the DEQ, the EQC and the Water and Waste Advisory Board. The heart of the issue is protecting agricultural land and managing CBNG water to abide by the Policy/Rule. CBNGA landowners (and industry) have testified multiple times that flexibility is vital to the Policy/Rule. Our landowners are engaged to help ensure the Rule/Policy makes sense and allows them to use the produced water the way they have been using it. But they can’t do it alone. They need your help. This Policy/Rule has been sent to a working group, which consists of over 20 stakeholders. The working group is scheduled to be done in May. Since May a Technical Advisory Team is reviewing the information developed from the working group. The public will have another opportunity to get involved so stay tuned.
